Queensland Small Business Month is happening again in 2023!

QSBW celebrates the importance of small business owners and the vital contribution they make to our economy and communities during the month of May.

Something to consider during small business week is what your small business offers other than the services you provide and how this can be avital contribution to enhance the personality of our communities and in particular our Mackay region and Mackay city heart.

During small business week we will be spending some time acknowledging our employees, thanking those that support us, sharing some business tips, bringing attention to some small business grants, and doing some local community shoutouts to honor those business owners and the hard work they put in to bring some joy to our lives. *Make sure you are following our page to see what’s in store.

As a business that works directly with supporting small businesses we sit down during this month and reflect on ways in which we can provide quality services and advice to inspire you in business and support you in succeeding in this.

One of the longstanding ideas we came to was to provide face-to-face business advisory events throughout the year offering free advice and coaching for business. We proudly have continued over the last three years to offer extra support for free to all clients and a small fee of just $20 to the Mackay business community to join in.

 Our next upcoming event is all about Cyber Security basics for small business and is a leading topic for business owners in our current time. We are partnering with local expert Graeme Lodge from Myriad Services who will provide information on technical solutions available to you to counter or recover from cyber-attacks and Richard Wainwright our director who will talk more on what tax incentives for investment in cyber security are available.
